Olds
Incorporated as a village in 1900, Olds is a centre of agricultural research and education thanks to Olds Agricultural College. Opened in 1913, the college includes Western Canada's largest teaching and demonstration farm. The arboretum has every type of tree native to Alberta. Campus tours, 556-4722. Mountain View Museum houses local artifacts and homestead displays and is open year-round, call for hours, 556-8464. Walking tour maps are at the visitor centre, Hwy 27, 5 km (3 mi) west of Hwy 2, 556-7113.
