Rundle's Mission Historic Site was established in 1847 by the Rev. Robert Rundle on the NW shores of Pigeon Lake. Today it is home to a beautiful hand hewn log lodge with two fireplaces and catering kitchen. In addition, the two bungalows have five semi-private rooms with bathrooms and a kitchen and common area. A great place for family reunions, hostelling, meetings, or retreats. The interpretive boardwalk with natural artesian spring explains the history of the area and is open to the public year round. Beach area and nature reserve for hikes and Cross country skiing are right next door. Come and see why Rev. Rundle picked this beautiful part of Alberta.
