Vermilion Parks & Gardens
A recreation haven and natural treasure, this provincial park spans 750 hectares (9 miles) along the Vermilion River Valley. There are 23 km of hiking trails in addition to horseback riding trails, cross country skiing trails, and paved trails for roller blading, biking and wheelchairs. More than 100 different species of birds make their home here, and trout fishing is permitted at the man-made Claude N. Brennan Memorial Trout Pond. A campground is also here with 98 spots and many facilities for a fun and comfortable stay.
